Description

*Most often purchased to combine with existing nmc batteries.  If you are buying a new system, we recommend going with our LFP battery.

Boasting a powerful 2000-watt-hour capacity and a life cycle four times longer than the typical NMC battery, our NMC expansion battery is engineered explicitly for portability without sacrificing longevity.

So what’s the deal with the new button with the green light? Sorta lack basic information in the box of the battery or on your webpage.
    Thanks

It is a power button, the green light on the button indicates power is at the terminals (a safety light). The new boost and 240sp does not have a relay switch inside (which was a failure point), so the battery needs to run off in order to conserve on power when not in use. If you are using it with an older system, it still works great, but you do need to make sure the button is pressed in to be on, and the led light will be lit when connected to a battery that is on. Note, that the led uses a very small amount of power, which would take years to drain the battery. I am sorry the battery did not provide instructions, these come with the boost or 240sp. You can find those manuals and quick start guides on our website.

Great battery and service. My only comment would be to send updated instructions with this battery as it has a different feature than the original. There appears to be a power button on this unit not on the original. The light however comes on whether the button is pushed in or not when connected to my original battery and cannot be turned off unless it is the only battery in the stack connected to the main module. There should be information provided about this that is clear as to how to operate this battery in a stack of two or more batteries. The function is fine but lacking directions leads to confusion.
