What type of cells do you use in the NMC battery?
We use Lithium-Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt.
What are the advantages of the NMC battery?
NMC batteries have higher energy density than LFP batteries, which mean they will be physically smaller and weigh less than LFP batteries of the same capacity. NMC batteries would do well in a portable situation or for temporary home use.
What is the downside of the NMC battery?
Under high use conditions, NMC batteries don't last as long as compared to the LFP batteries. Typical NMC batteries have on average a 500 cycle life. However, we have designed our Titan NMC battery in a unique way that allows for up to 2,000 cycles, which is four times the standard of a typical NMC battery. This is still lower than the LFP chemistry, however, this is more than enough cycles for most situations.
What is the cycle life of the NMC battery?
About 2,000 cycles to 80% remaining capacity.
Does this battery require any maintenance?
As with all lithium battery types, no maintenance is required of the NMC battery. Each battery has a built-in battery management system (BMS) that will monitor cell voltages, currents, and temperatures to ensure safety and long life.
How many batteries can I add to the Titan power module?
There's no limit on how many batteries you can add to the Titan power module.
Can I add external batteries to my Titan power station?
Yes, you can add external batteries to increase battery capacity.
Can I mix battery chemistries with the Titan power station?
No, because batteries have different chemistry profiles, we do not recommend mixing battery chemistries in one system.
