Because NMC and LiFePO4 batteries are two different lithium chemistries, their charging profiles differ. As a result, once your Titan has been reprogrammed to work with both LiFePO4 and NMC batteries, you will notice some changes in the Titan’s state of charge.
What should I expect from my reprogrammed Titan?
Using Only NMC
If using one (1) NMC, use max 1500 watts to maintain longer battery life, but can run 3,000 watts for short infrequent periods.
The AC charger will charge the battery to 28.8V (100%) and then maintain a state of charge between 80-85% full, lengthening the life of your NMC battery.
In situations where you do need a quick full charge, you can use the NMC charger. (But the batteries will last longer if maintained at 80-85%)
Using Only LiFePO4
If using one (1) or more batteries, you can use a full 3,000 watts.
AC charger and solar can charge to 100%, and maintain at 100%.
To use LiFePO4 batteries with the original Titan model, it’s necessary to reprogram its MPPT and get a new A/C charger.
Using NMC & LiFePO4
You can use the full 3000 watts no matter your battery configuration.
Because the A/C charger and MPPT maintain the NMC battery chemistry at 80% full and the LiFePO4 chemistry at 100%, if you’re using a mix of both chemistries, the charging will be maintained at a balance between the two chemistries to achieve optimal battery life for both chemistries. For example, if you have ONE NMC battery and ONE LiFePO4 battery, your A/C charger will maintain a balance of the two chemistries, about 90-95% full.

Can I mix battery chemistries with the Titan power station?
Yes, you can mix battery chemistries with your Titan; however, it must be reprogrammed to be used with the new smart A/C charger.
How can I fully charge my battery to calibrate my meter?
To fully charge your battery to force the meter to recalibrate, you must do one of two things:
1 - Discharge the battery below 26.0V (once it is discharged below 26.0V, the solar or A/C charger will then charge up to 28.8V, and the meter will calibrate.
2 - Use your NMC charger to charge up to 28.8V (don’t leave it plugged in for an extended period).
If you only have LiFePO4 batteries, you can charge your batteries up with either the A/C charge or solar. Once the battery is up to 27.2V and the charge rate is below 50 watts, manually calibrate the meter to 100% by pressing the up arrow for 3 seconds.
The LiFePO4 battery has a power button on it. When do I turn it on or off?
The power button on the battery should be off before connecting it to other batteries or the power module, but it should be on any time you are using power. The LED light will not go off when connected to batteries that don’t have a power switch (older NMC batteries). This is fine and uses very little power. However, the battery should be removed for long storage so there is no battery drain.

The LED light on the battery will stay on whenever power is available. If the battery is connected to a battery that is not turned off or does not have a battery power button, the led light will stay on. This is fine and uses very little power.
