Warranty and Returns

Point Zero Energy products are considered final sale items and therefore, will only accept returns on products that are damaged or defective. 

Limited warranties for Point Zero Energy products will vary depending on product. Please refer to the Warranty Details regarding your product’s specific warranty below.  Warranties are not transferable and are only valid for the original consumer. The sales receipt from the original consumer purchase, or other reasonable documentary proof, is required in order to establish the start date of the warranty period.

With the exception of the 30 Day No-Fault Warranty, the buyer is responsible for any initial shipping charges required to ship the product for warranty service. Point Zero Energy will pay the return shipping charges if the product is repaired or replaced under warranty.

Products under warranty will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Point Zero Energy. 

For any additional requirements, repairs, and/or customized improvements on product that is not currently under warranty:

  • Upon approval, Point Zero Energy will provide a quote to the customer for the repair, replacement, or improvement of the product.
  • Customer is responsible for all shipping costs on products not under warranty

30 DAY NO-FAULT WARRANTY

This 30 Day No-Fault Warranty is supplemental to the Limited Warranties, and is not a warranty in itself, nor does it waive or modify any exclusions or limitations in the Limited Warranties.

The 30 Day No-Fault Warranty states that within 30 days of date of delivery of original purchase, Point Zero Energy guarantees the Titan power module and/or Titan battery packs to be free of any defects in workmanship or material. If not, Point Zero Energy will repair or replace any defective parts with new or reconditioned parts, at Point Zero Energy’s discretion, without charge to the original purchaser.

WARRANTY DETAILS

I. warranty period

Point Zero Energy warrants to the original consumer purchaser that these Point Zero Energy products will be free from defects in workmanship and material under normal consumer use during the applicable warranty period identified below, subject to the exclusions set forth in Paragraph II. This warranty statement sets forth Point Zero Energy’s warranty obligation. We will not assume, nor authorize any person to assume for us, any other liability in connection with the sales of our products.

The Limited warranty period for the Titan Solar Generator:

  • Titan power module is two years from original purchase date.
  • Titan solar generator lithium battery packs, whether purchased as a stand alone product or in a system, is one year from the original purchase date.
  • The limited warranty for the solar panels:
    200 watt Rigid, 100 watt rigid, and briefcase panels Solar Panels is a 10 years process warranty; 25 years output power warranty

    100 watt Flexible Solar Panels is 6 months process warranty; 6 months output power warranty from original purchase date.

II. exclusions

The above stated limited warranties DO NOT APPLY to damage from misuse, negligence in use, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance, accidents; unprofessional installation or repair work by anyone other than an authorized service technician. This warranty does not cover repair if: 

  • Normal use has exhausted the useful life of the generator and wear and tear items (including batteries, control panels including digital displays, outlet plugs, switches, and cords if applicable).
  • The customer fails to install, connect, maintain, and operate the product in accordance with the instructions and recommendations set forth in the product’s user manual. 
  • Damage occurred by improper voltage or power surges.
  • Damage occurred by freezing, heat exposure, water exposure, rust, corrosion, thermal expansion, fire, dropping, misapplication or any other negligence and/or improper use, storage, and maintenance.
  • Damage occurred by unforeseen circumstances or causes outside of Point Zero Energy’s control including, but not limited to power failure surges, lightning, earthquakes,  hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fire, snow or hail damage, accidental breakage, vandalism.
  • Any product or part has been modified without the written permission of Point Zero Energy.

The above limited warranties DO NOT COVER shipping or labor charges associated with the inspection and testing of generators.

Point Zero Energy is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience or damage that may result from use, misuse, or inability to use this product. Under no circumstances shall Point Zero Energy be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage exceeding the purchase price of the product.

The warranty and remedies set forth are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, distributor, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.

III. shipping costs included in warranty

Point Zero Energy’s Limited Warranty only covers return shipping costs within the Contiguous United States. Customers are required to pay for shipping costs to and from Point Zero Energy for any product being returned from outside the contiguous U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, as well as U.S. Territories such as American Samoa, Guam, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, North Mariana Islands, Palau, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

WARRANTY RETURNS

In the event of a damaged or defective product covered under warranty, you must go through the proper return process for a successful return. UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AND WILL BE REFUSED. CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL SHIPPING COSTS ON UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS.

Please be prepared to show any necessary proof (photos) of damage or defect.

STEP #2:
Support Team will determine what further action is required. Upon approval, they will issue you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and provide you with prepaid return shipping label. You must properly package the product, clearly marking the RMA number on the package include your proof of purchase date with the product.

DO NOT RETURN any damaged/defective product WITHOUT a valid and authorized Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Point Zero Energy reserves the right to refuse shipments that do not have an authorized RMA number. Refused shipments will be returned to the customer, and customer is responsible for shipping costs for unauthorized returns. The RMA Returns Policy requires customers to return the defective product to Point Zero Energy within 10 business days of issuing RMA form.

Any damage that occurs during shipping must be reported to Point Zero Energy immediately upon arrival. If a signature is needed for delivery, make sure the damage is noted on the form before you sign for it. Damage that occurs after you receive any product after shipment is the sole responsibility of the customer.

For returning product that has been damaged during shipping follow the same procedure as if the product was covered under warranty.
