It depends on the well pump. Most well pumps are 240 volts, which the HomeGrid 3000 or PowerMax EMP cannot run. In this case you would need the HomeGrid 5000 to run the well pump.
It’s not designed as a portable system, although you can move it with a hand truck or some other means. The PowerMax EMP is meant to be more of an installed system with rooftop solar panels.
Yes. By adding more batteries and solar panels you can expand both the PowerMax EMP and the HomeGrid 3000.
The HomeGrid 3000 Standard batteries will last 3-5 years, the HomeGrid 3000 Extreme and Ultimate will last 8-10 years, and the PowerMax EMP will last 10-12 years.
The PowerMax system is somewhat difficult because they are installed inside the unit. Because of it’s long lasting battery life, you will only need to replace these batteries every 10 years or so. The HomeGrid 3000 is very easy to replace it’s batteries.
No. In order to be completely emp proof the lid needs to be sealed with no connections going in or out of the system.
